Skagit County Alliance for Healthcare Access

The Skagit County Alliance for Healthcare Access (SCAHA) is looking for a representative from the Medical Society for this new, county-wide coalition.  "The purpose of the Skagit County Alliance for Healthcare Access is to facilitate processes that enable Skagit County residents to access appropriate and effective healthcare."

The SCAHA is growing quickly and has members from: Skagit County, DSHS, Catholic Community Services, North Cascade Family Physicians, Skagit Valley Medical Center, all three hospitals, SeaMar, Group Health, United Way, Community Action Agency, Skagit Community Foundation, North Sound Mental Health, Mt. Baker Planned Parenthood, and Northwest Regional Council.  Together we believe we can increase access for low-income and older residents without any one of us taking all the burden.

Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 6-8 p.m. at Skagit Valley College.  Light refreshments are provided.
